Emergency Paediatric First Aid

This course is most suited to:

This course offers an insight into first aid for babies and children for those who do not require the 12hr course. It is great for those who supervise young children i.e babysitters or voluntary workers. It is also gives valuable knowledge to parents who wish to gain the skills and confidence they may one day need to deal with an emergency involving their children.

This is a 6hr course which can be upgraded to the full Paediatric First Aid certificate if needed. This course is Ofsted compliant and meets the requirements for the new EYFS guidelines.

If required, the course can be delivered at your work setting. Should you require one of our trainers to deliver this training at your workplace you have the flexibility of starting the course as early as you would like or alternatively you can request a later start on dates of your choice that suit you and your staff. We can even run the courses on the weekends or at night.

Each learner will receive a first aid themed goody bag consisting of; a colourful, comprehensive manual, face shield, various bandages, gloves and first aid leaflets. Each learner will also receive a certificate that will be valid for 3 years.

Assessment: You will be required to successfully complete a short multiple choice paper and will be assessed on your practical skills to qualify for your certificate. This Emergency Paediatric First Aid course has a mix of theory and practical elements. You will be required to kneel on the floor for some of the practical elements.
Students should be aware that they must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.

Students must be physically able to carry out the practical assessments detailed in the Course content to achieve the course certificate
